What Age?  Most piano students start at age 5 or older.  With a guitar students, it's often 6 or older.  Other instruments vary depending on child’s ability to physically hold the instrument or sustain breath.  If your child seems either highly interested in music or able to focus for 20 minutes at a time, go for it.  You can always start again later if the time is not right.

Lessons are offered in 30, 45 & 60 minute sessions
A music lesson is commonly once per week.
Practice a little bit each day.
 No lesson on most Holidays.
Our students often take lessons during the summer months.

What Kind of Equipment Do I Need to Get Started?

Families provide their own instruments.  It is important to have a keyboard or piano available for voice lessons as well.  Not sure if you want to invest in a piano?  A weighted keyboard can be a great cost-effective alternative.  Need help on what kind of guitar to get?  Contact us.  You may also need to purchase music workbooks or instrument accessories.  Your instructor will be your guide on what to buy.
